Tips and Tricks - Metal Embossing

It's Thursday (Barb here) and time for another Tips and Tricks Thursday with Skipping Stones Design. This is something I hadn't tried before but I saw it in a magazine and liked the look.

Here are the supplies I used:
Spellbinders Metal Sheets
Foam Pad, Stylus, StazOn Ink
Skipping Stones Design-Timeless Textures Stamp

First, cut a piece of the metal sheet to the size you want.  Turn the sheet to the back side and stamp your image with StazOn.

With the back side facing up, place the metal sheet on the foam pad, and using your stylus, trace the image created by your stamp.
 Turn to the right side.

Adhere to a piece of cardstock.

And embellish as you wish.  I used silver embossing powder with a sentiment from Sentiment Frames, and the musical background stamp from Timeless Textures with some Tim Holtz distress ink.  So, find a stamp and give it a try.  Check out some great stamp sets at Skipping Stones Design.
