Uh oh...meant to finish up this post before it auto scheduled this morning-lol.  I made this for my mother-in-law's birthday last weekend...I really like the cheery paper from Scenic Route and love the Sentiment Frames from Skipping Stones Design.  Make sure you stop by there to see all of the creations from the Stamp Tramps and from our wonderful guest designers.  This is the last sketch from the oh so talented Lea Lawson.  Play along and if you link to any online galleries be sure to use SSD 65.

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop to celebrate the release of Pumpkin Seed Sentiments! If you've just happened upon my blog today, make sure to start from the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived here from Stamp With Me, Ann's blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means we're showcasing another great creation from our Guest Sketch Artist this month, Lea Lawson. We'd love for you to play along with the sketch and link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. A free stamp set is up for grabs to a lucky winner that joins our sketch challenge!  Also, remember to use SSD 64 if you post to any on line sites.

Here's a close up of one of the fabulous background designs and sentiments from Pumpkin Seed Sentiments (I used a sparkly pen for the little circles):

Your next stop on the hop is Sweet Paper Treats with Brenda Weaver.

If you should get lost along the way here's the entire line up!

Thanks so much for joining us on the hop today and remember visit Skipping Stones Design to check out the fabulous sketch from Lea Lawson and a look at the entire Pumpkin Seed Sentiments background stamps and sentiments.

You make my heart sing

I submitted this for the Paper Crafts submission call for Stamp It issue but they didn't choose it...I don't know why since I used such an awesome set-lol...I was actually pretty happy with the way it turned out with the musical score on the background and that sweet little bird...oh well, guess I'll have to try again. (All stamps are from Heartsong by Skipping Stones Design.

SSD063-Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday

We just returned home from a road trip (Utah to California and back) for a memorial service for my brother who was killed in a car accident.  He had so many good friends and it was great to be there to support his boys.  I wanted to incorporate a masculine sympathy card for my grown up nephews with the sketch for this week from Lea Lawson.  I love the sentiment on the base of the card from Healing Wings (SSD) as well as the tag sentiment from Always Here (also SSD).  I found some great DSP in my stash that looked a little grunge and grey...hopefully the flower didn't take away from the masculine feel of the card.  I think all three boys really liked their cards and the sentiment conveyed.  Here's a close up of the base sentiment:
And for the boys, I really am "always here for you".

Sketch Tuesday #62 at Skipping Stones Design

I used Heartsong for the musical background and Always Here for the sentiment...just a really quick little card.  Check out the rest of the great stamps that come with both of these sets over at Skipping Stones Design.  And then be sure to play along with the Stamp Tramps this week with a great sketch from Lea Lawson.
