Winter Birthday

The timing was perfect for the Frilly and Funkie Challenge - Winter Hues.  I was stumped at first, trying to figure out the type of project to work on with the winter colors, I thought, maybe a scrapbook page for my granddaughter's first year, so I started looking through my Graphic45 'A Place In Time' paper pad, and it hit me! My good friend had a birthday last Saturday and this January Cut-Apart fit her personality perfectly! She is the type of friend who loves to display the cards I've made for her, so I made an easel card.  I chose the sentiment 'Hope Your Day is Fabulous' so she can display it as long as she likes and be reminded to have a fabulous day, every day!

I am finally getting around to using some of my hoarded stash...the paper is from a 12 x 12 pad from My Minds Eye called Signature Christmas which I've had from my very early days of papercrafting. I pulled out some beads from my jewelry making stash to make the stick pin and added some aqua pearl embellishments.  Both of the die cut pieces are from Spellbinders, and I used foam tape to add dimension to the main focus page as well as the die cut pieces.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink called Signature Greetings.

Thanks for stopping by, looking forward to the next challenge.

New Years Goals

I was inspired to create this piece for the challenge at Frilly and Funkie - New Years Goal

Hubby and I decided, with his health scare, that we'd like to take that trip to Italy and Greece while we are still fit enough to really enjoy it...and oddly enough one of his brothers and one of his sisters already have a cruise planned later this year to those exact locations!  Meant to be, I guess.

I wanted to use some of my new finds from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I also used a sheet from 7gypsies Lillie 8x8 paper pack for part of the background and a retired stamp set from Stampendous called Charm Collection for the tiny Eiffel Tower and Postage images as well as the alphabet letters.

Anyhow, it was fun to add a new page to my Flip Frame and to play along with the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

12 Tags of 2016 December

This is the final tag for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 Technique Remix, but I understand this ends the 10 year "Tag Challenge".  I'm glad I was able to participate in all 12 months of this challenge and I'm sorry it has ended.  I will be curious to follow Tim's Blog as he comes up with new ways to share his product and techniques.
